EvaluationsJohnston students receive narrative evaluations instead of grades because a narrative allows professors to tell a student's story in a class in a way a letter or number never will. Evaluations address students' course contracts and how well they met the goals stated there, but they also document new challenges and unexpected insights afforded by the class. Students do a self-evaluation and a faculty evaluation as well. ![]()
